GOVERNMENT RELATIONS

Our San Antonio-based land use law firm team is experienced representing a variety of sectors that are important to the long-term growth and prosperity of South Central Texas. We protect and advance our clients’ interests through our experience with municipal and county governments in San Antonio and surrounding areas.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS

The firm has assisted clients in seeking governmental contracts via responding to RFI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s issued by many local governmental entities. The range of projects include catering, concessions, professional consultants, wireless radios, River barge contracts, towing contracts, managing the City Vehicle Impound and a host of other contracts at the Convention Center, the Alamodome, The San Antonio International Airport and at other public facilities. We advise our clients on the local procurement process and help them reach their bidding and contracting goals with the City of San Antonio. We can also assist clients in negotiating terms for lease agreements and/or contract extensions with local government entities.

LOBBYING

We represent clients on matters that often require communications with various public officials. Members of our team regularly appear before a variety of governmental entities on behalf of our clients including: City and County staff, elected officials, municipal boards, SAWS, CPS and commissions. Our firm is registered as a lobbying firm with the City of San Antonio and our professional staff are registered lobbyists.

LOCAL FUNDING SOURCES

There are several local sources from which we have successfully obtained municipal funding for our clients, including the City of San Antonio and Bexar County. We have represented multiple clients in seeking funding from the City’s Bond Program that occurs every five years. The Bond Program has an extensive and lengthy public input process in addition to the necessity of garnering City Council support. We have applied for and secured ARPA funds for some of our non-profit clients. There are additional funding resources available that we would be happy to discuss with you.In addition, clients seek our representation the City of San Antonio and Bexar County can provide some assistance in projects via TERZ, 380 and 381 grants, and other economic development funding mechanisms.
